Celebrate New Year's Eve With These 10 Events

2020 is just around the corner. If you don’t have anything lined up, yet, let us help you out with some of our favorite NYE finds. Let the countdown begin!

1) Step back in time—about a hundred years—for the Roaring 2020s Extravaganza New Year’s Eve Party at Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg at 8 p.m. Complete with cabaret performers and a magician, get into the swing of things with the Charleston and Lindy Hop. 2) Ring in the new year on the Sacramento River with the New Year's Eve Fireworks River Cruise by Hornblower Cruises & Events. Marvel at the fireworks displayed by the City of Sacramento as you cruise under the Tower Bridge, champagne glass in hand. Music will be playing and alcohol will be available for purchase. 3) Do not miss Sactown Swings' New Year's Eve Party at the VFW Hall in West Sacramento. Expect a ballroom dance floor, live band, DJ, and lots of company. Bust a move to Northern California’s favorite band, Stompy Jones. DJ Rigatony will also keep you on your toes during band breaks. Don’t forget to dress to impress. 4) Is staying up late not your thing? Lucky for you, the Crocker Art Museum is hosting Noon Year’s Eve so that you don’t miss out on the celebrations. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., everyone can enjoy live music from around the world, dance performances, art activities, and surprises throughout the museum for free. 6) Sacramento’s historic Crest Theatre is hosting the Jackie Greene Band. Americana and roots singer-songwriter Jackie Greene started his musical career in Sacramento and knows how to croon over soulful piano ballads as well as shred a bluesy guitar solo. 7) The iconic R&B band Boyz II Men will serenade you with emotional ballads and a cappella harmonies at the Pano Hall at Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln. 8) Make sure to catch Old Sacramento Waterfront’s New Year’s Eve Sky Spectacular. A city favorite, the skies will be covered with bright colors and flashes at this free celebration. There are also activities for the whole family to enjoy, like live music, food and drink vendors, and a variety of street entertainment. 9) The Sacramento Dance Center in Rancho Cordova is throwing a NYE Dance Party from 9 p.m. until midnight.
