Folsom Event: Folsom Community Service Day––September 19,2020

Six feet apart and stronger than ever! Folsom will be continuing its annual Community Service Day for the 7th year to serve the community while protecting our residents, staff, and volunteers. Many community members will serve their community through planned donation drives, at-home projects, and socially-distanced outdoor projects.

Public health is our top priority. Folsom’s Community Service Day will have a reduced number of volunteers, no longer include a morning breakfast celebration, and only include projects that allow for social distancing or can be done within your own household. We have consulted with Sacramento County public health officials and will require strict safety measures at all projects, as outlined below.

  • Volunteers should only be working in groups with household members. Otherwise, physical distancing of 6 feet or more must be maintained between all non-household members.
  • Face coverings are required for all staff and volunteers. Anyone who cannot or will not wear a face covering for the entirety of the event should not attend.
  • All volunteers are asked to remain home if symptomatic or if they have had contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
  • Hand sanitizer and face coverings will be provided to all volunteers at a drive-through registration.

If you have any questions regarding this socially distanced event, please contact Christine Brainerd at [email protected] or at 916-461-6013.

Please visit the website for more information about the day, and about the many projects you can choose from to serve your community!
