Sacramento Boomer

Folsom Event: Gallery at 48 Natoma presents free Opening Reception

The jaunty tunes of caliola music, the smell of popcorn and the nostalgia of a bygone era will fill the Gallery at 48 Natoma during the next gallery exhibit, “Carousel.” The gallery at 48 Natoma will grab the brass ring with spectacular photography of carousels from all over the world by Jim Berger and fantastic carousel horse sculptures by Thelma White. An interesting selection of carousel artifacts will also be included. The exhibit opens March 20 and continues through April 30, 2020.

From March 10 to April 23, 2020, in the adjacent Community Gallery at 48 Natoma, the Capernaum Creates, art classes for special-needs students, will display art created from their program held at the Art Center at 48 Natoma. More information about this amazing group at https://gsc.younglife.org.

The public is invited to celebrate both exhibits at the free opening reception on Friday, March 20, 2020 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, with refreshments, wine and live jazz saxophone music by Jerry Fairlee.

The gallery is free and open to the public and art is available for purchase. Hours are Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm, with additional hours Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm and Second Saturdays of each month from 9am-1pm. Free tours can be arranged by appointment. For more information contact Gallery Director Cindy Abraham, (916) 461-6611, or [email protected].
