Folsom Event: “Small Town” Exhibit at Gallery at 48 Natoma
November 15, 2019 to January 16, 2020
The holidays often bring up traditions of visiting family and traveling to hometowns. Remembrances of how things used to be when we were growing up, and for some, those memories include comparisons of how much things have changed over the years. Visions of vintage main streets, country towns and the people that inhabit them are captured in the exhibit, “Small Town,” at the Gallery at 48 Natoma in Folsom from November 15, 2019 to January 16, 2020.
Two artists working in different media will portray images of country storefronts, old vehicles, gossipy neighbors and more. Kelly Howell will show her color and black and white photography. Kerri Warner is exhibiting her award-winning mixed media collage pieces.
In the adjacent Community Gallery at 48 Natoma, “All in the Cards,” exhibit of card art by Marsha Harris will be on display from November 8, 2019 to January 10, 2020.
The public is invited to celebrate both exhibits at the free opening reception on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00, with refreshments, wine and live jazz keyboard music by Chet Chwalik. An additional treat the evening of the opening reception will feature a special Holiday Fine Art Sale with artists from the Art Center displaying and selling craft items just in time for gift-giving! This is our biggest event of the year.
